I'm working on a WordPress site that has a custom theme being built.
The top level navigation is horizontal as it should be, but the second level (for example, under the "For Job Seekers" heading is also horizontal, but should be vertical.

I've tried all of the CSS tricks I know, so looking for a second set of eyes on this.

adding this CSS rule to style.css will change the submenu to vertical layout:
.main-navigation ul ul {
flex-direction: column;

Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. Thanks!

Thank you, this was perfect! Since you were first, awarded to you

You can set flex-direction property to column. It defines how the items are placed in flex container.
To set the second level navigation vertical
following should be added in css file:

.main-navigation ul ul{
flex-direction: column;

This is the result you will get link

Let me know if this solves your problem or if you need help with anything else. Thanks!
