Mirror two textareas using only JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, and HTML.

What I want.

I want to mirror two HTML textareas (that can be editable on both sides) on two different browsers.

Clarification.

The HTML/PHP file will be on an external server and two browsers (on different computers from different IPs) should be able to edit the text inside the textarea and have it update simletaneously on the other side. You are allowed to use JavaScript/jQuery and PHP.

Bonuse(s)

  • extra $1 tip if you could make the PHP script autosave the file to a text file named backup.txt everytime a user changes the textarea.

  • extra $1 tip if the script can mirror more than one browser/computer.

  • extra $1 tip if you could integrate CodeMirror show the cursors positions of each user.

Thanks.
