All versions (edits) of solutions to SubNavigation Menu is Horizonal, should be vertical appear below in the order they were created. Comments that appear under revisions were those created when that particular revision was current.

adding this CSS rule to style.css will change the submenu to vertical layout:
.main-navigation ul ul {
flex-direction: column;
}

Hello,
You can set flex-direction property to column. It defines how the items are placed in flex container.
To set the second level navigation vertical
following should be added in css file:

.main-navigation ul ul{
flex-direction: column;
}
