This is a $300 bounty.

Could you copy over testing_guidance, description, and guidance from the latest PCI v3.0 Requirements to our PCI_requirements.csv (that is unfortunately still based in PCI v2)?

I've got this started and you can see it in this Commit with commit messages.

Looking forward and thanks in advance!

@shoe Thank you again for contributing! Let me point out a couple places where this gist won't work. Currently, its not formatted in the proper CSV format. https://github.com/akshatpradhan/compliance_chimp/pull/87/files#diff-85c0a8a1e2b80cd06fec58a26d4cd815L1 This CSV format is important else the script seeds.rb won't be able to parse and populate the database.

i updated the CSV but still might be in the wrong order after looking at the code. what are you meaning by 'description'? typically the columns are referred to as requirement, procedures and guidance.

@shoe: description = requirement (without the numbers).

hey @shoe, I think this is somewhat more of what I'm looking for. Letting you know!

I would not recommend removing the numbers from the requirement and testing procedures. From my experiences this is unneeded work as all the official documents from council have this information in-line. If you need something altered then let me know and I can re-post the CSV. I was not sure if the blank entries for requirement or guidance would mess up your script.

Winning solution

I completed your pull request https://github.com/akshatpradhan/compliance_chimp/pull/87

I added all lists, bold and italic characters with markdown syntax to be correctly rendered. I checked for errors in seeding database. I had to add a small method to remove requirement names in description fields, look at that Regex, thanks we've got Rubular to check for this kind of expressions online.

Nice job!
